State EERS Policies

The 22 states that have passed statewide EERS policies over the past decade have demonstrated promising results. However, the quickest way to reach the country’s full energy efficiency potential is to put a nationwide federal standard in place rather than work state-by-state. A federal EERS is needed to enhance and extend to the rest of the nation the benefits of these state efficiency standards, which have a strong track record of demonstrating that energy efficiency really works.
